Accreditations:
Carousel of Learning III is an Apple Accredited Program.
Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment (APPLE) is a
voluntary national accreditation program. In the state of Florida, programs
must be a member of the Florida Association for Child Care Management in order to
receive this as a member benefit. The two step accreditation process, a self study
followed by a verification visit, is an evaluation of the indicators of quality as
reflected in each individual program. All components of a program are examined including:
Administration, classroom environment, parent and community involvement, advocacy on behalf
of children and child care, staffing credentials, staff to child ratios,
teacher/child interaction, literacy and curriculum.
We are members of Early Learning Coalition of Brevard and all 3 center participate
in Florida VPK Program (Voluntary Pre-K Program)
Carousel I & II participate in Florida Head Start Programs.
Carousel of Learning is also in the process of trying to become NAEYC Accredited.

Our Teachers:
Our Teachers are required to have the following training as mandated by the county:
* Back Ground Screening through Police Department
* 30 hour training & 10 hour developmentally appropriate practices & 5 hour early literacy classes.
DCF requires to be enrolled within 90 days of employment.
* Physical Exam-within 90 days of employment, provide proof of recent physical and immunization status.
* TB Test results- within 90 days of employment and again after 2 years of employment.
* CPR and Pediatric First-Aid certification.
The majority of our teachers have a CDA (Childcare Development Associates Certification)
which is a 9 month to 1 year training course given by the county/state through a variety
of childcare development classes.
For those teachers who do not have their CDA, once state mandated training is completed,
Carousel of Learning requires employees to move onto getting thier CDA or AA degree.

Our Food Program:
Breakfast, Lunch and an Afternoon Snack is included in the price of tuition.
Carousel of Learning Centers are on the State funded food programs.
We serve breakfast, lunch and a afternoon snack, Breakfast is 6:30-8:30,
Lunch starts around 10:45 to 11:30, and snack starts from 2:00 until 3:00.
We follow the state USDA food guidelines.
